Armenia Environmental Dashboard
This platform provides a regional overview of environmental conditions in Armenia by combining satellite data with live environmental indicators. It is designed to help the public understand how environmental conditions vary across regions.
How to read this map
Circle color shows air quality (AQI). Region shading represents forest and vegetation coverage. Click a region to explore detailed environmental conditions.
Indicators
Air Quality reflects pollution levels affecting health. Vegetation (NDVI) measures plant health from satellite data. Land cover shows long-term forest change. Fire risk is estimated from temperature and humidity conditions.
Armenia Overview
Forests are concentrated in northern and southern regions, while central areas are dominated by agriculture. Urban expansion around Yerevan is putting pressure on surrounding land.
Energy & Environment
Armenia’s energy system relies on a mix of nuclear, hydropower, and imported natural gas. While hydropower and solar contribute to renewable energy, dependence on fossil fuel imports creates environmental and energy security challenges.
